Vanilla Shakeology!

I was totally excited to see the tweet from Shakeology regarding a new flavor!  I was hoping Beach Body would come out with a vanilla flavor which gives so much more diversity to the recipe options.  This video clip of Carl Daikeler, Chairman and CEO of Beachbody,  has some valuable information not only about vanilla Shakeology but it assured me that Beachbody is ultimately concerned with everyone's health and well being and not just making money.

Only two weeks left!

There are only two weeks left in my weight loss challenge and I have hit a plateau. So I've decided to restrict my diet by cutting back meat to only once a day, if any, and preferably at lunch time.  I will continue to have Shakeology for breakfast and salad for lunch and dinner.  But since I am also amping up my workouts with additional cardio along with Insanity and P90X daily, I have to make sure I take in enough fuel to keep my body going.  I am determined to get as close to my goal as possible!

My Challenge - 9 lbs in 6 weeks!

There are 38 days until my husband and I sail off on our 9 day cruise vacation. So my fitness focus is to loose 1.5 lbs a week until we leave, totaling 9 lbs. Take a look at my video below and stay tuned for my results as I will be posting video updates each week.

Gluten Free, is it better?

It seems like everyone is switching to a gluten free diet these days. A gluten-free diet is a must if you have gluten allergies or celiac disease, a condition which causes intestinal damage when gluten is eaten. Many health foods stores and some major supermarkets now carry gluten-free products. These are often made with rice or potato flour instead of wheat. Just check the label to make sure it says “100% gluten-free.” For more information click on the link below.
